Gym Wars
What is a gym-vs-gym competition?
A gym-vs-gym competition is intramural sports for attendance. Your gym is the jersey. A nearby gym is the opponent. The score moves when people actually train — not when they post a selfie from the parking lot.
Why gym vs gym beats solo leaderboards
Anonymous global ladders are easy to ignore. Your gym’s name on a board in the lobby is not. Members recruit friends because the roster has a minimum. Owners care because the rival is the gym down the road, not a stranger in another country.
How OutGrind Gym Wars is set up
- Enrollment window: 7 days.
- Match length: 2 weeks.
- Minimum roster: 3 members on a public gym.
- Pairing: nearby gyms, about 50 miles.
- Weekly goal band: 3–6 verified days.
- Seasons wrap several matches (about 6–8 weeks).
Unfilled gyms stay unmatched. We do not invent a fake opponent.
How a day scores
GPS inside the gym geofence, 30+ minutes on the in-app timer, check-in photo. Team score is an average, so ghosts hurt the side. That is the point.
Between wars
Rivals is a free 14-day head-to-head with trophies. Same verification. No cash.
FAQ
Is the fittest person the winner?
No. Showing up is the sport. Team average of verified days. Miss a week and the average drops; you are not eliminated from the match.
Can I represent a home gym?
Not for Gym Wars scoring. You need a public registered gym. Home gyms do not score for the war.
