OutGrind ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile application ("App").
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and profile photo (if provided). Authentication is handled by Clerk, Inc., and we do not store your password.
Payment Information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or other financial credentials.
Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device location when you check in to a workout. This data is used solely to verify your physical presence at a registered gym. We do not track your location continuously.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the App, including leagues joined, workouts logged, and feature usage.
Health & Fitness Data: With your permission, we access Apple HealthKit data including workout records, exercise time, active energy burned, and stand hours. This data is used solely to track your progress in ranked leagues and verify Apple Watch usage. We also write completed gym workouts to Apple Health. Health data is never used for advertising, marketing, or data mining, and is not shared with third parties.
We use your information to: (a) operate and maintain the App; (b) process payments and settle leagues; (c) verify workout attendance via location; (d) communicate with you about your account and leagues; (e) prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats; (f) comply with legal obligations; (g) improve and develop new features.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
Service Providers: Stripe (payments), Clerk (authentication), and cloud infrastructure providers.
League Participants: Other members of your leagues can see your name, profile photo, and workout completion status. They cannot see your email, payment details, or precise location.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure database access with SSL, rate limiting, and audit logging.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Financial transaction records are retained as required by applicable regulations. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.
