Welcome to OutGrind. By creating an account or using the OutGrind mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
OutGrind is a gym accountability service. The App helps you log and verify gym workouts, build a Consistency Score, and compete on public and private leaderboards. Any optional Competitions on OutGrind are skill-based ranked performance contests whose outcomes are determined entirely by each participant's own physical effort — not by chance, luck, or random outcome. OutGrind is not a gambling, wagering, lottery, or gaming service.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use OutGrind. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
Free Competitions: OutGrind offers free trophy-based Competitions that award badges and division rankings. No payment is required to enter.
Paid Competitions (where available): OutGrind may offer optional paid Competitions. If you enter a paid Competition, you voluntarily contribute a disclosed entry fee to a shared prize pool. At the end of the Competition, the prize pool is distributed to participants according to the published prize structure for that Competition, based on ranked performance. You will see the entry fee, prize structure, and participant count before confirming entry.
Refunds: If a paid Competition fails to activate, any entry fee you paid is returned. Otherwise, refunds are only issued for system errors or technical failures.
Wallet: Any winnings are credited to your OutGrind wallet. You may use wallet funds — in whole or in part — to enter future paid Competitions, with any remaining entry fee charged to your card. You may also cash out eligible wallet funds via Stripe Connect, subject to identity verification and any applicable holding period.
Wallet credit types: OutGrind tracks wallet balance by source. Funds you have deposited or won in a Competition are eligible for cash-out. Funds credited as promotional or referral bonuses are spend-only — they may be used to enter paid Competitions but are not eligible for cash-out, may expire after the disclosed period if unused, and may be revoked or clawed back if the referral or promotion is later determined to violate these Terms or our anti-fraud policies.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (for prize cashouts) and by Apple, Inc. or Google LLC (for in-app subscription billing). OutGrind may charge a service fee on paid Competitions, disclosed before you enter.
Available tiers: OutGrind offers auto-renewing subscription tiers — "OutGrind Pro" and "OutGrind Elite" — that unlock optional premium features, including entry to Premium Competitions, reduced cashout fees, additional streak shields, and other perks disclosed in-app. Pricing for each tier is shown on the subscription and paywall screens before purchase.
Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID or Google Play account is charged at confirmation of purchase and again at each renewal. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time from your device's App Store / Google Play subscription settings. Deletion of the OutGrind app does not cancel your subscription.
Free trial: New subscribers may be offered an introductory free trial, disclosed at purchase. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription will begin and the first paid period will be charged.
Premium Competitions: Premium Competitions are OutGrind-hosted ranked contests whose cash prize pools are funded entirely from aggregate Pro and Elite subscription revenue. They are not funded by participant entry fees, wagers, or stakes — entry is free for subscribers of the applicable tier. Prizes are awarded based on ranked performance; participants have no claim to any particular amount and cannot contribute additional money to a prize pool.
Refunds: Subscription refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies; OutGrind cannot directly refund subscription charges. If a subscription is refunded after a Premium Competition entry, any pending or unpaid performance credit for that subscriber in that Competition may be clawed back.
Cancellation effect: If you cancel or your subscription lapses, you retain access through the end of the paid period. After that point, you will no longer be eligible to join new Premium Competitions and may be removed from any in-progress Premium Competition at settlement, with any projected winnings forfeited and redistributed to remaining eligible participants.
Verified influencer hosts may create free-entry Competitions; hosts may not charge cash entry fees on their Competitions. Hosts who refer new subscribers using their unique referral code may earn a revenue share of that subscriber's net subscription revenue, subject to anti-fraud review and the terms of the influencer program.
Overview: Each OutGrind account is assigned a personal referral code. When a new user creates an account using your code and then joins their first paid Competition that successfully activates, both you and the new user may receive a one-time wallet credit (the amount is disclosed in-app). Referral credits are promotional bonuses as defined in Section 4 — they can be spent on paid-Competition entries but are not eligible for cash-out and may expire if unused within the disclosed window.
Eligibility: A referral is eligible only when (a) the referred user is a new account, (b) the referred user is not a duplicate of, or materially associated with, the referrer (including via shared device, payment method, or household), (c) the referrer has not exceeded the disclosed monthly referral cap, and (d) the referred user joins and the Competition activates without being later cancelled, refunded, or refunded as a result of fraud review. Referrals from a subscribed influencer's referral code are credited under Section 5B (influencer program), not this Section 5C.
Anti-abuse and forfeiture: OutGrind operates automated and manual fraud review on referrals. Suspected self-referrals, multi-account abuse, collusion, or attempts to game the program may result in pending credits being voided, already-issued credits being clawed back from your wallet (with your wallet balance reduced accordingly), forfeiture of all future referral rewards, and/or suspension or termination of the involved accounts. We reserve the right to modify, pause, or end the friend-referral program at any time, with reasonable notice for credits already earned but not yet issued.
No purchase necessary; cap on value: Free-entry Competitions and free trophy Competitions are available without spending any money or using a referral code. Referral credits have no cash value and are not transferable between accounts.
Workouts are verified using location-based check-in at a registered gym and, where you permit it, Apple HealthKit. Any attempt to falsify workout data constitutes fraud and may result in account termination.
You agree not to: create multiple accounts; falsify data; exploit bugs; collude with other participants; use the App for illegal activity; harass other users; or reverse-engineer the App.
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
OutGrind's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration. You waive the right to participate in a class action.
