For gym owners
Gym member retention that is not another email blast
Most gyms spend on new members while current ones leak in the first 90 days. Acquisition is exciting. Retention is the business. The pattern in operator research is boring and true: people who attend roughly 2–3+ times a week stay; people who never form a social tie cancel quietly.
What actually predicts retention
- Frequency. Show-up habit in the first month.
- Social connection. A name, a class, a rival, a roster — not a blast email.
- Early warning. Flag the drop in visits before the cancellation email.
Where software usually stops
CRMs and gym OS tools tell staff who went quiet. They do not give the member a team sport. Challenges that are “post in the Facebook group” fade. A live score versus the gym across town does not, if it is on a TV in the lobby.
What OutGrind adds
Gym Wars makes your facility the team. Members verify with GPS. You get a QR join path, an optional lobby scoreboard, and a read-only list of who has gone cold. Members play free. You are not buying another login for every front-desk shift.
Honest limitation: this is a pilot product. We do not claim a published churn-reduction percentage. If you want the league layer, apply. If you need billing and CRM, keep the tools you have.
Give the gym a team, not another email blast.
QR poster, lobby TV, ghost list. Free this season for pilots.

Do I need to replace Mindbody / PushPress / Glofox?
No. OutGrind is a rec-league layer. Members use iPhone. You hang a QR and optionally a TV. Billing and class booking stay where they are.
What does it cost?
Pilots are free this season. We expect to charge gyms later for community and retention tools. There is no public price list yet.
